Jesus says we should humble ourselves like children. Children recognise their dependance on others. Pride doesn't stop them asking their parents for help, or for something they need, or about something they don't know. We need to be like that in approaching God.
I have been forgiven a huge debt by God, something I could never pay off myself. I need to remember that when I am finding it difficult to forgive others.
